1st Dunnet Bay Scout Group

1st Dunnet Bay Group

1st Dunnet Bay caters for age groups from Beavers (6-8) to Cubs (8-10½)

Thurso panto

/6

This years Thurso panto certainly was not pants, although the audience did see Eustance Eggard strip off, but this was in true to the role and done in the best possible taste!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1st Thurso and Reay Beavers joined Dunnet Bay Beavers and Cubs to make a select group of seventy "theatre goers". One Beaver was heard to say they dont like going to see a show as they always sit behind a tall person with a big hat. No problems here for those on the front row.

Titled "Puss in Boots" it is of course a true story but unfortunately for one Beaver the lead character was not as expected. This Beaver had seen the real "Puss" who was orange and wore a cloak!

Fireworks kept everyone awake especially when it coincied with the fire alarms sounded. Hmmmm maybe some connection? One Beaver and one Scout were lucky enogh to win a raffle. One Beaver was alsolucky to be sat upon by Alt Gur.

The panto ended with a mass wedding and thankfully each groom knew which bride to go with

Record for Dunnet Bay Cubs

Well we had one of those nights on the 23rd November 2011 where we broke records. There were no long winded plans to achieve this break through though, it just sort of happened.

Recently we have had a few new Cubs joining as friends or relatives of existing Cubs and that is always great to see and very welcome. Then on the 23rd the older Beavers, due to come before Christmas, started their double weeks. This is where they come to Cubs straight after Beavers for a few weeks to check us out and make sure we don't scare them. The end result is that we will have 31 Cubs before Christmas, a record for Dunnet Bay.

Unfortunately it won't last as sadly we have a few older ones that are due to leave us at Christmas but it will be great while it lasts.

We do not have a waiting list for Cubs at Dunnet Bay so if you are reading this and fancy giving us a try just drop us a line or give us a ring.

Dunnet Bay Beavers and Cubs Cancelled 30/11/2011
