1st Thurso Beavers are anything but crackers but their hall on Thursday was full of them. Luckily these were part of a "simple" handcraft that kept all leaders occupied for ages and tested their manipulative skills to the limit, ( which is very very high!) The Beavers certainly had a cracking time doing this even if the word simple was confined to describing the actual Colony. i.e. Simply the best!!!!!!!!!!!! -just like all other Colonies eh?

 

Two investitures "kick|" started the meeting, although no kicking as all were on best behaviour for that special guest! Before that the endurance of one of Bison's games. Exactly like "Duck, duck goose" but different. Instead it was "Santa Santa Ruldolph". Thanks to reay who test drove this game the prevous week. No red noses and all run well. Yep a well run game.

 

And then, and then, and then, the star of the show arrived. Looking remarkable for a sleigh ride of several hundred miles in the cold and dark. The Beavers sang "Jingle Bells" with at least one singing almost in tune! Gifts were handed out with even Santa getting one form Susan Christmas.

 

Back to the crackers before heading home but alas the lure of chocolate sweets was too much and the leaders were left to finsh the crafts. It will be no surprise that when the Beavers pull their crackers the inners will consist of ampty sweet wrappers!!!!
