Well well Beaver, alias Sandra Carson tried to keep her 100 th birthday secret by pretending it was her 60th. actual studies of fossils found in Glengolly proved she really is 60. Because she is so well loved the Beavers of 2nd Thurso held a surprise party for her. Complete with cake and flowers. The Beavers did not eat the flowers but devoured the cake in 60 secs. Beaver even won pass the parcel, maybe it was "rigged"?????

Good on you old un, looking forward to next 60 years now eh Beaver??

The sun was a welcome guest at the Caithness Scouts annual St Georges Day parade. The was led by some pipes and drums from the Scout Pipe band who made sure all stepped in line. The photos show some the the Beavers and Leaders who took part but of course there were many others who braved getting sun stroke!!!!! Well done all who took part. Even the Minister at West Church had everyone laughing in the aisles with his own "100" year old Scouting stories. This was a great way to convey his message.

Iain has amassed an incredible 99 NIGHTS AWAY!

Iain's camping history includes the World Scout Jamboree in Sweden (which required him to complete a number of training camps) and Blair Atholl.  Iain has also completed a number of weekend and summer camps as well as participating in Young Leader Training.

Rumour has it that he lives in Strath Halladale - but it's more likely you'll see him under canvas!

Well done Iain, and well done to everyone who increased their Nights Away total!
