Beaver's 60th

/10

Beaver, that is Sandra Carson leader of 2nd Thurso Beavers tried to hide the fact that she was 100 years old by pretending she was 60. Actual invesitgations of fossils in Glengolly proved she really was 60 today 8th May 2012. To show how much she is loved a surprise party was organised with cake and flowers. Thankfully the Beavers did not eat the flowers but devoured the cake in 60 seconds! 27 years of photographs littered the walls of 2nd Thurso Scout Hut dipicting Sandras time as a hair model for Beavers. Some pictures were so strange that even she did not recognise herself. One gets like that at her age!!!! Look forward to the next 60 Beaver!!!

Thurso Explorers received updated Nights Away awards recently, and were astounded when Iain Cameron came forward to receive his...

Iain has amassed an incredible 99 NIGHTS AWAY!

Iain's camping history includes the World Scout Jamboree in Sweden (which required him to complete a number of training camps) and Blair Atholl.  Iain has also completed a number of weekend and summer camps as well as participating in Young Leader Training.

Rumour has it that he lives in Strath Halladale - but it's more likely you'll see him under canvas!

Well done Iain, and well done to everyone who increased their Nights Away total!
